Mr. Darel Dougherty
Mr. Darel W. Dougherty is the Founder of Dougherty & Dougherty Investigations, LLC. Mr. Dougherty served a career in the United States Air Force, where he was trained as a Law Enforcement Specialist. Mr. Dougherty holds an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice and Bachelor Degree in Business Management.
During his distinguished career, Mr. Dougherty spent seven years stationed in Kaiserslautern, Germany and was attached to the 569thUS Forces Police Flight (USFPF); a location unique to the USAF. The patrolmen of the 569th USFPS were responsible for a 1000 square miles off-base patrol zone. It was during his tenure at USFPF, Mr. Dougherty was recruited into the USFPF Traffic Section. The mission of the Traffic Section was to investigate and report on all major traffic accidents involving vehicles operated by US military and US civilian personnel.
Mr. Dougherty was so successful as a crash investigator the unit sent him to the Police Institute of Technology and Management (IPTM) at the University of North Florida, in Jacksonville, Florida, for continued education in accident investigation. Mr. Dougherty has received an excess of 330 hours in traffic accident training alone. He is a certified traffic Accident Reconstructionist, with over 14 years of crash investigation experience. In 2000, Mr. Dougherty was recognized as an expert in the field of crash investigation and reconstruction.
Mr. Dougherty has also proven his worth as a Criminal investigator. Mr. Dougherty graduated at the top of his class from Military Police Investigations School at Fort Leonardwood, Missouri; where he was asked to return as an instructor for Interviews and Interrogations. During his last assignment in the United States Air Force, Mr. Dougherty was the Non-Commisioned Officer In Charge of Investigations, an office which deals exclusively with criminal investigations.
As a Private Investigator, Mr. Dougherty has outshined his peers in domestic, worker’s compensation, and fraud investigations. Mr. Dougherty continually strives to better himself and the industry as a whole.
